Mark Grundy
Born in 1977, visual artist Mark Grundy has spent the last decade compiling and performing music, prose and poetry. Over the last few years Art has become the forefront of his creative impulse. He has amassed a large body of work that is now being shown in various galleries and exhibitions. The art work has become very popular with collectors and his original oil paintings are highly sought after.
"The paintings consist of imaginative and simplified narratives that are contemporary and symbolic. The images that are produced in the paintings contain fundamental questions that concern the psyche, soul and physical responses to thoughts and feelings. The messages to these many questions are ambivalent and ordered so, therefore, divulge many philosophical meanings. Just as one act has many repercussions, one image reflects the multifaceted nature of human existence. This is channeled through art as a formulation to the idealism of truth and theory."
